The Just Breathe Vision

At Just Breathe we believe in the power of movement to heal and nurture the body. Our aim is to create a comfortable and uplifting space where people can rejuvenate their bodies and then step back into the world better able to care for themselves and others.

We offer a wide range of classes including yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Nia, Feldenkrais and other therapeutic movement classes. We have many options for beginners and people with special limitations.

We partner with Village Health, the holistic clinic downstairs from Just Breathe, to offer a wide range of complementary services that address the whole person: body mind, spirit and emotion.

A special workshop designed to safely and comfortably introduce students to the physical practice of yoga. In a supportive environment, you’ll develop the foundation for a satisfying and safe yoga practice. In an easy-does-it, step by step approach, learn asanas (poses) that stretch, strengthen and release tension. Detailed instruction includes modification for all needs/abilities, with hands-on assisting for fostering ease and strength. Breathing techniques (pranayama) are also taught, enabling you to connect breath to body, release tension, quiet the mind and be present. Take these skills off the mat and into your daily living. *Ana Forrest, creator of Forrest Yoga, has spent 30 years developing Forrest Yoga specifically to address current day stresses and challenges, both physical and emotional. Forrest Yoga uses intense pose sequences, compassionately taught, to develop skills in awakening each of the senses. Forrest Yoga helps you connect to your core - getting strong and centered. We use mild heat, deep breathing, along with sequencing of poses to sweat out toxins. Pose holds and progressions help flush, oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell.

Intro to Yoga Series
